India has unequivocally stated its position regarding any potential dialogue with Pakistan, emphasizing that discussions would be strictly limited to the return of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and the extradition of terrorists. This clear message was conveyed to the United States, underscoring India's unwavering stance on these critical issues. Government sources articulated that there is only one outstanding matter concerning Kashmir: the return of PoK. They asserted that no other topics are open for discussion, and only if Pakistan were to address the handover of terrorists would any engagement be considered.

India has also made it clear that it does not seek or require any third-party mediation in its dealings with Pakistan. This stance reflects India's determination to handle bilateral issues directly, without external intervention. The focus remains firmly on the return of PoK, which India considers an integral part of its territory, and the imperative of addressing cross-border terrorism.

This firm position comes at a time of heightened regional tensions, and serves to establish the ground rules for any potential future interactions between the two nations. India's articulation of its terms highlights the nation's resolve to prioritize its territorial integrity and security concerns in any dialogue with Pakistan.
